آیت‌الله صادق لاریجانی رئیس قوه قضاییه در جلسه روز یک‌شنبه خود با مسئولان عالی قضایی ایران، برگزاری اجلاس بین‌المللی خلع سلاح هسته‌ای در تهران را مثبت ارزیابی کرده و گفت: “امیدواریم با برگزاری چنین کنفرانس‌هایی، چهره مدعیان دروغین مبارزه با سلاح‌های هسته‌ای برملا شده و حمایت کنندگان اصلی منع گسترش سلاح‌های هسته‌ای معرفی شوند”.
به گزارش پایگاه خبری پارلمان نیوز وابسته فراکسیون اصلاح‌طلب (اقلیت) مجلس، رئیس قوه قضاییه به عزم دستگاه قضایی در مقابله با مفاسد اجتماعی، پیشگیری از وقوع جرم و حفاظت اجتماعی اشاره کرد و گفت: “در نظر داریم به صورت جدی در جهت پیشگیری و حفاظت اجتماعی گام برداریم و با برنامه‌ریزی مناسب به مرحله‌ای برسیم که با افزایش آگاهی‌های حقوقی مردم از تشکیل و ایجاد اختلاف و انتقال آن به دادگستری‌ها جلوگیری کنیم”.
آیت‌الله لاریجانی در ادامه خواستار توجه بیشتر مردم به رعایت حقوق اجتماعی افراد در جامعه شد و گفت: “رعایت نکردن ارزش‌ها و هنجارهای اجتماعی از سوی برخی افراد و ظاهر شدن در جامعه با پوشش‌های نامناسب نوعی بی‌احترامی به حقوق دیگران است و دستگاه قضایی و نیروی انتظامی قطعاً با کسانی که ارزش‌های اسلامی را زیرسئوال می‌برند، مطابق قوانین و مقررات و اصول شرعی برخورد می‌کند”.
در زمان ریاست جمهوری محمود احمدی‌نژاد، نیروی انتظامی ایران با طرح‌های مختلف قصد مقابله با بدحجابی را داشته است. این طرح که با حضور گشت‌های ارشاد در خیابان‌های شهر و بازداشت‌های گسترده صورت می‌گیرد، معمولا در ابتدای فصل گرما شروع می‌شود.
میرحسین موسوی گفت که چشم‌اندازی برای آزادی مطبوعات نمی‌بیند و به طرفداران جنبش سبز توصیه کرد در برابر بسته شدن هر وبلاگ، “ده‌ها وبلاگ برای دفاع از حقوق مردم” راه‌اندازی کنند.
به گزارش وب‌سایت امروز، موسوی که در جمع کمیته دانشجویی سازمان مجاهدین انقلاب اسلامی سخن می‌گفت، از جنبش سبز خواست خود را با شرایط موجود تطبیق دهد و راه‌هایی برای “بسط آگاهی و گسترش رسانه‌ها” پیدا کند.
وی گفت: “جنبش سبز بی‌شمار است و باید از هر منفذی که بسته می‌شود، بلافاصله پنجره‌های دیگری بگشاید”.
موسوی در بخش دیگری از سخنان خود اظهار داشت: “جنبش سبز را باید طوری تعریف کرد که همه هفتاد میلیون جمعیت کشور، حتی مخالفان ما را در بربگیرد”.
وی افزود: “تبیین شعارهای درست و منطبق با خواسته‌های مردم، یکی از وظایف اصلی علاقمندان به جنبش سبز است. وظیفه ماست که شعارها را با دقت و درست انتخاب کنیم و سپس بر سر تحقق آنها بایستیم”.
موسوی، آزادی و عدالت را دو کلید واژه مهم، در حرکت جنبش سبز دانسته و افزود: “عدالت و آزادی از هم جدایی‌ناپذیرند و آن کسی که وضعیت معیشتی فلاکت‌بار دارد، بیشتر در معرض از دست دادن آزادی‌های اساسی است”.
نخست‌وزیر پیشین ایران گفت: “عظمت جنبش از ابتکار افراد معدودی نابغه برنمی‌خیزد. عظمت جنبش از فعالیت انسان‌های بی‌شماری ناشی می‌شود که آشکار و پنهان در حدی که می‌توانند، در گشوده کردن این راه به آینده سبز کمک می‌کنند”.
این رهبر مخالفان دولت، در بخش دیگری از اظهارات خود گفت: “راه‌حل مشکلات موجود، دست‌کاری آمار تعداد شهدا و پرکردن زندان‌ها نیست، بلکه راه، رسیدگی به خانواده‌های شهدا و باز کردن در زندان‌ها و آزاد کردن رسانه‌ها و انتخابات آزاد رقابتی غیرگزینشی است”.
موسوی خطاب به دولتمردان جمهوری اسلامی گفت: “اگر می‌گویید حکومت نوکر مردم است؛ نوکر، ولی‌نعمت خود را نمی‌کشد، آزار نمی‌دهد، او را به زندان نمی‌اندازد، او را محدود نمی‌کند و خواسته‌های خود را به نام خواسته مردم مطرح نمی‌کند”.
موسوی در ادامه افزود: “همه بدانند که راه‌حل مشکلات کشور در منحرف کردن اذهان مردم از مسائل اساسی نیست. حکومت باید همیشه به فکر زلزله پایتخت باشد، نه آنکه خواب‌نما شود که زلزله‌ای بزرگ در راه است. راه‌حل مشکلات اقتصادی مردم و کشور، اقتصاد صدقه‌ای نیست و دولت فکر نکند مردم گفته‌ها و اعمالش را فراموش می‌کنند. مردم حتی نسبت به سرنوشت کرم‌ها و لاک‌پشتی که به فضا فرستاده شدند، حساسند و می‌خواهند بپرسند نتایج تحقیقات در مورد این حیوانات بی‌گناه به کجا انجامید”.
Mostafa Tajzadeh, Davoud Soleymani and Mohsen Mirdamadi have each been sentenced to six years of imprisonment. They are also banned for ten years from any political and media activity.
Tehran Revolutionary Court announced yesterday that the sentences of the three senior reformist detainees were issued over the charge of "assembly and collusion against national security and propaganda against the system." The sentences can still be appealed in the appellate court.
The three top reformist figures are senior members of the Islamic Iran Participation Front that endorsed Mir-Hossein Mousavi in the June 2009 presidential election. Many of their members have been arrested in the post-election crackdown. The three political activists are currently on temporary leave from prison on bail.
The Revolutionary Court also announced that another post-election protester, Soheil Mohammadi's four-year sentence was reduced to three years in the appeals court.
According to data released by the Iran Statistics Organization and the Central Bank, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's administration has been unable to curb inflation or unemployment. But during a nationally televised interview, Ahmadinejad himself called on the nation for a more rapid population growth by offering to hand out one million Tomans in government assistance to families who give birth to a child after 2010.
"I am opposing the idea that two children are enough and I have a scientific explanation for that. Today we see that the average number of children per family is below two, and this is a wrong policy that Westerners have adopted. They are paying a heavy price now to preserve their culture and identity. So why must we follow in their path," he said in the interview.
Announcing that the "country can sustain 150 million people," the president stepped into the territory of Shi'ite clerics, adding, "Some think that we provide people's sustenance, but that is very wrong. I am surprised that the clerics are silent about this issue. What is this life that they have planned out for us? Did Westerners reach happiness with the population control plans so that we should follow their models?"
Prominent political figures and lawmakers reacted to Ahmadinejad's remarks and dismissed them as politically and economically unwise. The chairman of the health and wellness committee of the Majlis (parliament) condemned Ahmadinejad's Tuesday night remarks, saying, "When unemployment is rampant and we lack the infrastructure to provide the existing population with a proper livelihood, speaking about higher population growth is against reason."
Similarly, the previous reformist administration's health minister and current member of the minority faction in the Majlis said, "When we have so many unemployed youth in our country and so many problems in health and education, how can we think about higher population growth? The government should solve the problems of our nation's unemployed, which comprise a high percentage of the population, and then care about a 100 million population."
Another member of the minority reformist faction in the Majlis, Ghodratollah Alikhani, said: "His opinion cannot guide anyone. Islam has left families free to have as many children as they wish. The issues that he brings up about Islam are not new." Alikhani, who also serves in the clerics caucus in the Majlis, condemned Ahmadinejad's remarks about the clerics, noting, "Mr. Ahmadinejad is not the boss of clerics, and doesn't have the right to tell clerics what to do on issues of this nature because he is not a Muslim scholar either."
One the other hand, Mohammad Taghi Rahbar, who is also a member of the clerics caucus in the Majlis, said, "The principle of enlarging the population of Muslims is a desirable principle because there is a saying from the prophet in which he calls for population growth among the Muslims."

“Every banned weblog should be replaced by tens of weblogs for defending the people's rights." These are the words of Iranian opposition leader Mir-Hossein Mousavi, who called on supporters of the Green Movement to counter the attacks against freedom of press in Iran. Speaking in a meeting with the student committee of reformist organization Mojahedin of Islamic Revolution, Mousavi repeated that the Green Movement is "limitless" and it should "open numerous new windows" for every blocked "opening." The former prime minister maintained that the Green Movement should be defined in such a manner that "includes every one of the seventy million people of the country, even our opponents."
Mousavi emphasized "freedom and justice" as two key words in the Green Movement: "Freedom and justice are inseparable and those who are under economic pressure are also in greater risk of losing their basic liberties."
He added: "Greatness of this movement does not rise from a limited group of geniuses; the greatness of this movement rises from the activities of numerous people who through their overt or covert activities, to the very limits of their ability, support the movement to achieve its end."
کامران دانشجو، رئیس سابق ستاد انتخابات کشور گفت که در انتخابات ریاست جمهوری سال گذشته، «یک رای» هم جابجا نشده است.
دانشجو روز شنبه به خبرگزاری مهر گفت: “من انتخاباتی برگزار کردم که امنیت آن از اهمیت بسیاری برای مردم برخوردار بود. در زمان برگزاری انتخابات، من به همراه سایر همکارانم در وزارت کشور، اجازه ندادیم تا آرا مردم جابجا شود”.
کامران دانشجو در خصوص اعتراض‌های دانشجویی به نتیجه انتخابات و وقایع پس از آن گفت: “خوشبختانه دانشگاهیان با هوشیاری دشمن را شکست دادند و چشم فتنه را به فضل الهی و با درایت مقام عظمای ولایت، کور کردند”.
به گفته این مقام وزارت علوم، در ناآرامی‌های پس از انتخابات، “کمتر از ۱۰ درصد از بازداشت‌شدگان دانشگاهی بودند”.
وی در بخش دیگری از سخنان خود پیرامون بازداشتگاه کهریزک و مسائل مطرح شده پیرامون آن گفت: “یک عده کهریزک و کوی دانشگاه را مطرح کردند تا توطئه براندازی نظام فراموش شود”.
کهریزک نام بازداشتگاهی تحت اختیار پلیس بود که در جریان اعتراض‌ها به نتیجه انتخابات، مدتی محل نگهداری بازداشت‌شدگان بود. در این بازداشتگاه، چهار نفر بر اثر خشونت‌های پلیس، جان خود را از دست دادند و گزارش‌هایی مبنی به تجاوز به برخی معترضان بازداشتی در این محل نیز منتشر شده است.
