It's Now or Never for this Widow and her Hungry Kids

My Dear friend,

We're ASHAMED beyond words! For 223 years we never said "NO" to a hungry widow and her young children before Rosh Hashanah. Never!

This Rosh Hashanah we're coming up short. VERY SHORT! Yes, it's the economy. That's why even more hungry mothers and children are now pleading for food.

What's our excuse? Things may be tough here in America. But food for a widow and her family? That fatherless kids should go hungry on the High Holy Days?

Can we pray to be inscribed in the Book of Life while widows and small children have nothing to eat?

It's not too late. Please help Colel Chabad provide food for widows and orphans, as we've been doing since 1788, and start your New Year on the right note by helping those truly in need.

May your generosity be rewarded with all of your prayers answered in full.

This Rosh Hashanah, Shiri Azulai will be praying for only one thing -- enough food to feed her hungry children...
Can you answer this widow's prayers? Click here
While the rest of us pray for greater success, Shiri Azulai will be praying for food. The good news is: we have the power to answer Shiri's prayers.
The even better news is that when we answer Shiri's prayers the A-mighty will be much more receptive to our own hopes.
As we say on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur: 'Repentance, prayer and tzedakah thwart the evil decree'. There are thousands of widows like Shiri who pray only to be able to feed and clothe their children.
Since 1788, Colel Chabad has been answering the prayers of desperate mothers, the indigent elderly and other troubled families thanks to the help of caring, sensitive people - people like you who can't ignore the cries of a widow and her children.
By answering the prayers of widows and orphans, we become G-d's partners in bringing a little fairness and justice into this world.
And that's exactly what Tzedakah means - justice.
Your Tzedakah has special power on Rosh Hashanah. It empowers you to answer someone else's prayers. Which is the greatest power a human being can have.
