The main stream of the Persian speaking media abroad is against the freedom of speech

We are to start the Iranian year of 1390 whilst the fights against the religious dictatorship in Iran  has reached a new climax: many of the Iranians in Iran as well as abroad have realized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is not amendable and the only way to make a progress is to establish a free and democratic republic regime based on human rights and direct democracy fundamental

Although censoring and detaining the journalists, artists and the intellectuals in Iran and abroad, the Islamic Republic regime has attempted to mute the voice of the Iranian people's movement, the revolutionary waves of the people's radical demands are being raised day after day and the social networks as well as the alternative media have been taken as the only window left  open against the present repressions and suffocation

In such an atmosphere, the main stream of the Persian speaking media abroad is trying to empower and represent the reformist trends, due to diverse reasons such as lobbying and European-American politics. Such a stream started attempting to divert the direction of the movement and diminish it to a "Great Game" and "Internal Disputes" from the very next day after the election show in 2009 and eventually lost out to its opponent and crept to retreat

The media on the main stream, owning dozens of television and radio broadcasting channels and the websites, whose expenses are directly paid for by the governments or the organizations which seek one wing to substitute for the other in the game to gain the power, in most cases are speaking out solely the words of the reformists to the Iranians and try to pretend that there is no alternative choice to oppose against the existing wing of the Islamic Republic regime except the reformists

On the other hand, some of the reformatory journalists, who have also moved abroad during the past few years, having established organizations and exclusive media through which any opposing voice is censored , instead of appreciating the freedom of speech, are trying to keep their authoritative role on the media stream and information dissemination and are attempting to make a circle of insider "employee- journalist" against freelance journalists and writers by making their media activities party-based and factional

We, as a group of Iranian journalists, writers and artists living in exile, sending our greetings on the new year and hoping for our fellow Iranians to reach freedom and victory, emphasize that the main stream of the Persian speaking media abroad is not much less exclusive than the situation of the media inside Iran and the Iranian journalists, writers and artists abroad are facing more or less common problems of the lack of freedom of speech and censorship.

We also determine the fact that the voice spoken out from these monopolistic media abroad to the people in Iran and worldwide is not the voice of the Iranian people and intellectuals but a representative of a detached part of the body of the regime which seeks a minute repair and reform of the system that has been thoroughly violating the most fundamental rights and freedoms of the individuals and the society in Iran

Our voice is not heard in these media: these media are not the representatives of all the Iranian people who shout out the slogans for the Iranian Republic Regime in their demonstrations
